MN 1 to MN 100

MN 1 to MN 100 are the opening numbers of the island's original MN series, recorded by the Isle of Man Public Record Office as beginning in January 1906. They were among the first 100 Isle of Man vehicle registrations ever issued. We are building a photographic record of all one hundred.

Why these hundred matter

The Isle of Man began registering vehicles under the MN code in January 1906, according to registers held by the Isle of Man Public Record Office. MN 1 to MN 100 are therefore the earliest marks the island issued. Those dates describe the series. The individual first issue date of each registration, and the vehicle it was first issued to, have not been verified from original Public Record Office entries.
