1 LRX private number plate

1 LRX is a compelling four-character dateless registration with immediate visual appeal. Its format comprises a single number followed by three letters, presenting a clean and concise layout. As a number 1 registration, it sits at the pinnacle of numerical desirability, significantly more sought after than other number sequences for matching initials. This format also aligns with the shortest and most impactful dateless styles, which are generally highly valued by collectors.

The initials LRX offer distinct appeal, though broadly speaking, they fall into a niche demand category, suggesting a greater degree of rarity. For buyers seeking a specific set of initials, the presence of number 1 ensures maximum impact and prominence. This combination of a definitive starting number and unique initials makes 1 LRX a standout option for personal identification.

This registration first entered circulation through a DVLA auction in 2020. It sold for £14,770 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £18,965. The dateless format, which does not show a year identifier, provides the clean look associated with registrations from an earlier era. Specifically, numbers-first dateless plates of this type are linked to issue periods around the mid-20th century. The 'X' historic code associated with this registration style indicates it originated from Northumberland.
