About private number plate 1 NAB
The registration 1 NAB presents a desirable format with its number-one start and three-letter combination. As a dateless plate, it possesses the clean, timeless look associated with registrations from that era, broadly from the early to mid-1950s to the early 1960s. Its four-character length makes it a concise and memorable option.
The number 1 holds a special prominence in the world of private number plates. For any buyer seeking a personalised registration that represents their initials, such as NAB, a number 1 prefix is considered the pinnacle. It signifies a definitive and highly sought-after combination, markedly more so than the same initials paired with a higher number. The "NAB" initials themselves are of decent popularity, suggesting a broad potential audience of UK buyers looking for a personal connection.
This specific plate was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2020. It sold for £28,120 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £36,106.
