1 OWG private number plate

1 OWG is a dateless, four-character registration with a number-letter format. As a number 1 plate, it holds a singular appeal, representing the pinnacle in this desirable class. The format, with one number followed by three letters, offers a clean and concise presentation, a characteristic favoured by collectors and those seeking distinctive registrations.

The presence of number 1 is highly significant, marking it out as distinct from plates with higher numbers. This registration also possesses the clean look associated with dateless registrations, and its numerical/alphabetical combination is relatively short, contributing to its strong overall appeal. The initials OWG are considered mid-market in terms of popularity, suggesting a good balance between rarity and broad potential buyer interest for this particular combination.

This registration was first released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2015. It sold for £4,100 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £5,314.
