1 RWF private number plate

The short four-character format of 1 RWF has a direct appeal, particularly as a dateless registration that does not show a year identifier. The core of its appeal lies in the rare distinction of starting with the number 1, which is generally considered the pinnacle for any set of initials, making it significantly more sought after than higher numbers. This prominence makes it particularly suitable for owners looking for a striking and concise initial presentation.

The plate features the initials RWF, which suggests a personal connection for individuals with these initials. The brevity of the registration, with just one number followed by three letters, offers a very clean and memorable appearance. Dateless plates, especially those with fewer characters, tend to have a strong visual impact.

The format, consisting of one number followed by three letters, is part of a series associated with registrations from around 1953 to 1963. This style broadly originates from the era when the F code was associated with Essex for registration purposes. This specific registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2015. It sold for £17,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £22,032. It was offered at a DVLA auction in September 2015.
