11 NKS private number plate

The dateless registration 11 NKS features a distinctive double-digit number paired with three letters. Its format, two numbers followed by three letters, presents a concise and instantly recognisable five-character layout. The inclusion of repeated digits, the number 11, imbues the plate with a pleasing symmetry and enhanced visual appeal, which is generally favoured by collectors.

As a dateless registration, it does not show a year identifier, contributing to the clean, timeless look associated with earlier registration formats. This style is broadly associated with registrations issued between circa 1953 and 1963, representing a period of early vehicle identification in the UK. Such registrations often hold significant appeal for those seeking a registration with a sense of history.

The initials NKS are estimated to have decent popularity, suggesting a broad pool of potential owners. Data indicates that personal connections, such as initials or names, are a leading reason for individuals to acquire a private registration, with a substantial percentage of motorists naming their cars and seeking matching plates. The structure of the plate, with numbers preceding letters, is a common and sought-after format within the dateless category.

The registration 11 NKS was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2026. It sold for £10,310 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £12,743.
