12 NX private number plate

12 NX is a four-character dateless registration presented in the two numbers followed by two letters format. Its short, clean layout is a favoured characteristic among collectors, offering a succinct and memorable style. The absence of a year identifier contributes to its timeless appeal, a design trait common to dateless registrations.

The initials NX offer a broad platform for personal expression, potentially appealing to buyers seeking to represent their name or a significant initial. While NX is estimated to fall within the lower quartile for initials popularity, its straightforward, two-letter structure and pairing with a low number provide a solid foundation for personalised use.

As a dateless registration, 12 NX does not incorporate a visible year identifier, allowing it to be used on any vehicle without suggesting an age. This style of registration has a clean look associated with dateless plates. The number 12, sitting within the lower range of double-digit numbers, is generally considered more desirable than higher double-digit or triple-digit sequences.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2020. It sold for £5,420 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £6,959.
