18 NX private number plate

18 NX is a four character dateless registration. The format is two numbers followed by two letters, giving it a short, clean aesthetic that tends to appeal to buyers seeking a striking and memorable plate. This style of registration is associated with the earliest eras of UK vehicle registration, offering a timeless appeal.

The 'NX' initials offer a distinct identity. While not exceptionally common, these initials hold potential for those looking for a unique identifier. The number 18 is a lower double-digit number within the 10-99 band, which generally holds stronger appeal than higher numbers within that range, and fewer digits typically make for a more desirable registration.

This dateless registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2017. It sold for £2,800 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £3,629.
