2 AVH private number plate

2 AVH is a dateless registration with a concise four-character format. It comprises a single digit followed by three letters, offering a clean and easily readable layout. This one number followed by three letters format, with numbers-first, is a desirable configuration often associated with earlier registration periods, possessing the timeless look characteristic of dateless registrations.

The number 2 holds a position of significance, being a very low single digit. While number 1 represents the pinnacle for initials, single digits from 2 to 9 typically carry stronger buyer appeal than double digit numbers. Fewer digits also contribute to a shorter, more impactful registration.

The initials AVH are considered to have strong appeal, suggesting a broader potential audience of buyers compared to more obscure letter combinations. This combination of a low digit and strong initials creates a compelling registration with considerable market appeal. The plate was first released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2018. It sold for £5,100 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £6,610.
