2 FKS private number plate

2 FKS presents a distinctive four-character format, combining a low single digit with three letters. The number 2 offers immediate visual appeal, benefiting from its position as one of the smallest digits available. This short, dateless registration does not show a year identifier, offering the clean look associated with earlier issue periods.

The FKS initials offer potential for a wide range of personal applications. Buyers often seek registrations that reflect their name, initials, or significant words. The initial set FKS has decent popularity, suggesting a reasonable breadth of appeal.

The plate's layout, with the number first followed by letters, is a classic configuration. Dateless registrations from this era, where the format typically comprised one to three letters and one to three numbers, are particularly sought after for their historical character. The number 2 is a desirable low digit within this format, contributing to its appeal.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2017. It sold for £3,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £3,888.
