2 KUL private number plate

The number 2 is a very low number, and combined with the three letters KUL, this four-character dateless registration presents a distinctive and concise format. Dateless plates offer a clean look, free from the year identifiers found on modern registrations, and their brevity is often favoured by collectors. This particular style of registration, with a number preceding letters, aligns with formats from the circa 1953 to 1963 era, a period known for some of the earliest and most sought-after vehicle markings.

The initials KUL represent a niche demand in the market, suggesting a specific buyer appeal. Such registrations are often sought by individuals whose names or surnames begin with these letters, or who wish to represent a particular word or phrase using them. The short, four-character length of 2 KUL enhances its visual appeal, making it memorable and easy to read.

This registration was first released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2020. It sold for £7,800 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £10,015.
