2 PRY private number plate

The registration 2 PRY is a dateless four-character plate in a numbers-first format. This kind of registration, with a single digit followed by three letters, represents a desirable, short format that can be visually appealing. The number 2 is considered a very low number, offering potential interest for buyers prioritising shorter sequences.

As a dateless registration, 2 PRY does not show a year identifier, offering a cleaner, timeless look. Such plates are often sought after by individuals for their ability to personalise a vehicle without indicating its age. The format is known for its clear legibility, making it easy to recall and associate with its owner.

The initials P, R, Y are classified as niche or low demand, indicating a more exclusive appeal. This could be ideal for individuals with those initials seeking a distinctive plate that stands out due to its rarity rather than common popularity.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2017. It sold for £2,700 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £3,499.
