2 RLB private number plate

2 RLB is a dateless registration with a clean, four-character format. It features a single number followed by three letters, offering a desirable one number followed by three letters layout. This style of registration is typically associated with earlier issue periods, from around 1953 to 1963, and carries the timeless look of dateless plates.

The '2' at the start of 2 RLB positions it as a very low number, which generally holds strong appeal for collectors. Combined with the short, four-character layout, this makes for a punchy and memorable registration. The letters RLB offer strong initials potential for a wide range of buyers looking for a personal touch.

Dateless registrations like 2 RLB were issued before the introduction of year identifiers, meaning they do not show a year on the plate itself. This feature is highly valued by many owners, contributing to the enduring appeal of this registration style. It was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2004. It sold for £2,700 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £3,410.
