2 RXT private number plate

2 RXT is a four-character dateless UK private registration. The format is one number followed by three letters, presenting a clean and concise reading. This type of dateless registration, issued around the mid-20th century, has a timeless aesthetic and does not show a year identifier.

The number 2 at the start of the registration appeals to the "low number" hierarchy, suggesting a generally stronger collector interest compared to higher numbers. Its position in the numbers-first format also contributes to its market appeal.

The initials RXT offer potential for personalisation. While RXT is categorised as niche to low demand, it could appeal to individuals with those specific initials looking for a dateless registration. Data suggests that personal connections, particularly names or initials, are a primary driver for acquiring private registrations, with a significant majority of buyers motivated by this.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2021. It sold for £3,610 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £4,635.
