2 SUS private number plate

2 SUS offers a concise and visually appealing four-character combination. As a dateless registration, it benefits from the clean look associated with registrations that do not show a year identifier. The format of one number followed by three letters is a popular style that tends to be sought after.

The presence of the number 2 as the sole digit in the registration positions this plate within the range that generally holds strong appeal. This number, combined with the three letters, creates a shorter, more streamlined registration compared to those with more digits. The 'SUS' initials offer potential for personal significance, appealing to individuals seeking to represent their name or a meaningful aspect of their identity.

This registration format is from an era when dateless plates were issued, a time characterised by shorter and more distinctive combinations owing to the registration system of the period. Dateless plates from this era, particularly those with very short formats, are often considered particularly desirable by collectors.

2 SUS was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2018. It sold for £5,700 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £7,387.
