2 TOR private number plate

2 TOR is a striking four-character dateless registration. Its numbers-first layout, featuring a single digit followed by three letters, presents a clean and desirable format. Dateless plates, such as this one, do not show a year identifier, contributing to their timeless appeal.

The number 2 holds a special place in the hierarchy of desirable numbers. While number 1 is uniquely positioned as the pinnacle for any initials, lower single digits like 2 are generally more sought after than higher numbers or those with more digits. This is because they are shorter, more visually balanced, and carry a strong sense of rarity. The "TOR" initials offer a decent level of popularity, suggesting a broad potential audience of buyers. This combination of a compelling number and distinct initials makes 2 TOR a notable registration.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2021. It sold for £10,510 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £13,495.
