Dateless registrations such as 2 VVC do not show a year identifier, presenting a timeless look that is highly valued by many enthusiasts. Historically, numbers-first dateless plates, while less common than their letters-first counterparts from the earliest eras, still hold collector interest. This particular registration format, with a single number followed by three letters, offers a distinguished and concise appearance.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2023. It sold for £3,510 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £4,507.
