2 WWX private number plate

2 WWX is a compact four-character dateless registration. Its format of one number followed by three letters, specifically 2 WWX, places it within a desirable style of registration. Dateless plates from the circa 1953 to 1963 era offer a clean look, free from the year identifier present on more recent formats. This style of registration, particularly those with fewer characters, is sought after by collectors.

The number 2 at the beginning of 2 WWX indicates a very low number, generally holding appeal. This is further complemented by the short, four-character composition of the plate, which leads to a distinctive and memorable registration. The initials WWX offer a specific set of characters that may appeal to individuals or businesses looking for a personalised touch.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2019. It sold for £1,800 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £2,333.
