2 YDA private number plate

The registration 2 YDA is a four-character dateless plate in a numbers-first, one-number-followed-by-three-letters format. This style of registration is known for its short, clean look, which is often favoured by collectors and those seeking a distinctive personal identifier. The number 2, being a very low single digit, contributes to its visual appeal and potential desirability.

The initials YDA present a distinct combination, appealing to buyers looking for a direct match to their personal name or initials. Such registrations are often sought after by individuals wanting a plate that uniquely represents them. The DVLA has noted that personal names or initials are a primary motivation for purchasing private registrations, suggesting a broad potential audience for plates like 2 YDA.

This registration was first released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2024. It sold for £4,560 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £5,855.
