20 UR private number plate

The registration 20 UR presents a concise four-character format, featuring two numbers followed by two letters. This two numbers followed by two letters style is a popular choice for those seeking a streamlined and memorable UK private number plate. The format offers a good balance between brevity and legibility, making it an approachable option for personal registration.

As an initials plate, 20 UR directly represents the letters UR. While not among the most common initial pairings, UR has a niche appeal, potentially suiting individuals with those initials or those looking for a distinctive, less frequently encountered pairing. The number 20 is a low double-digit number, generally preferred over higher numbers in a comparable format because of its shorter representation and visual tidiness.

This dateless registration does not display a year identifier, lending it the clean, timeless look associated with older series. Historically, registrations of this style, particularly shorter formats, have been noted for their desirability among collectors and the wider public.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2023. It sold for £8,050 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £10,336.
