599 OO private number plate

599 OO offers a distinctive combination of numbers and letters, presenting a clean five-character format with a numbers-first layout. The registration features three numerals followed by two identical letters, which creates a strong visual symmetry. This repetition of the letters OO contributes to a memorable and aesthetically pleasing registration.

A key appeal for this plate lies in its direct association with a well-known luxury vehicle. The number sequence 599 is instantly recognisable as the designation for the Ferrari 599 (GTB/GTO). This makes 599 OO a potentially compelling choice for owners or enthusiasts of this particular Ferrari model, offering a clear and direct link.

As a dateless registration, 599 OO does not display a year identifier, contributing to the timeless look associated with such plates. Dateless registrations, especially those with shorter formats and distinct number-letter combinations, are often sought after for their classic appeal and the clarity they lend to a vehicle. The presence of the letters OO also provides scope for personal initials, appealing to individuals seeking a more personalised registration.

The plate was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2007. It sold for £3,500 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £4,421.
