6 AEY private number plate

The plate 6 AEY is a four-character dateless registration with a number-letter format. Its short, uncluttered layout is typical of older, established registration styles, offering a clean and visually appealing aesthetic. The number 6, being a very low digit, contributes to its compact and desirable presentation, aligning with the desirability of shorter plates.

This registration presents distinct potential for personalisation as initials. The sequence AEY represents a set of initials with niche to low demand, offering a unique opportunity for individuals whose names begin with these letters. Such initials can hold personal significance for many owners.

As a dateless registration, 6 AEY does not show a year identifier. These types of plates are often sought after for their timeless look. The number 6, as a low digit in a number-first format, typically carries stronger collector appeal than higher numbers. This particular registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2016. It sold for £2,700 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £3,499.
