About private number plate 6 EDG
The four-character registration 6 EDG offers a clean, numbers-first dateless format. This shorter style is typically sought after for its straightforward, uncluttered appearance. The registration begins with a low single-digit number, 6, which is generally desirable for its brevity and impact. Followed by the distinct initial set EDG, this format presents a balanced and recognisable registration. Dateless plates do not show a year identifier, giving them the timeless look associated with dateless registrations.
6 EDG represents a clear choice for anyone seeking personalised initials. The letters EDG may appeal to individuals with those initials, or could be the initial letters of a name or even a surname. Initials plates are consistently popular, with a DVLA buyer-motivation survey indicating that personal connection, particularly a name or initial, is the leading reason people consider private registrations.
This registration was first released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2015. It sold for £1,200 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £1,555.
