6 MWS private number plate

6 MWS is a four-character dateless registration with a distinctive number-letter layout. The format comprises a single number followed by three letters, a configuration generally associated with earlier registration eras and a shorter, cleaner aesthetic. This style of registration does not show a year identifier, contributing to its timeless appeal.

The "MWS" initials offer a strong foundation for personal identity. This format typically appeals to buyers seeking a representation of their name or initials, a key motivator for acquiring a private plate. The initials should attract interest from individuals or families whose surnames or given names commence with these letters.

As a dateless registration, 6 MWS does not display a year identifier, giving it a clean look that many collectors favour. The number 6 at the beginning of the registration comes from the band of single digits, which are generally more sought after than double, triple, or four-digit numbers. This relatively low number, combined with the concise four-character format, presents a notable example within the dateless plate market.

6 MWS was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2015. It sold for £3,600 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £4,666.
