6 OCH private number plate

The four-character registration 6 OCH presents a clean, dateless format, combining a single digit with three letters. This style is broadly associated with the earliest eras of UK vehicle registration, offering a timeless appeal distinct from current-style plates that include an age identifier. The short, compact nature of the registration is a significant factor in its desirability.

As a dateless registration, 6 OCH does not show a year identifier, contributing to its desirable, clean look. The layout adheres to the one number followed by three letters (number followed by three letters) structure, which, when paired with a low number such as 6, is often favoured by collectors. The number 6 stands as a very low visible number, representing a simple digit at the beginning of the sequence, enhancing its visual appeal.

The initials OCH provide a clear and direct reading that may appeal to individuals with those initials, offering broad potential for personal identification. The initials themselves are considered to have decent popularity, suggesting a capable buyer pool.

This registration was first released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2019. It sold for £3,100 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £4,018.
