6 OSL private number plate

6 OSL is a four-character dateless registration. Its format of a single number followed by three letters presents a clean and concise layout. As a dateless plate, it does not show a year identifier, offering a timeless look associated with earlier registration eras.

The low number 6 at the start of 6 OSL marks it as a standalone low number, a characteristic that is generally more sought after in dateless plates. The initials OSL are also present, offering personalisation for individuals or businesses with those initials. Such initial-based plates can appeal to a broad audience looking for a direct personal connection. Buyer motivation surveys historically show personal connections, particularly names or initials, as the leading reason for purchasing a private registration.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2026. It sold for £7,010 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £8,664.
