6 TOP private number plate

6 TOP is a four-character dateless registration with a striking number-letter format. Its short layout and distinctive "N-LLL" structure contribute to its appeal. The registration presents the number 6 followed by the letters TOP.

This registration may interest owners or enthusiasts of certain Mazda, Mitsubishi or Subaru models. Specifically, the alphanumeric sequence directly mirrors designations found in models such as the Mitsubishi 3000GT, GTO, and FTO, which feature the 'GTO' identifier. This direct match offers a compelling connection for automotive aficionados.

As a dateless registration, 6 TOP does not display a year identifier, giving it the clean, timeless look associated with earlier UK number plates. Such registrations are often sought after for their directness and inherent collectability, with shorter formats like this generally considered particularly desirable.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2018. It sold for £4,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £5,184.
