6 UXO private number plate

The 4-character dateless registration 6 UXO offers a clean and straightforward layout. Its format of one number followed by three letters is a distinctive style within the dateless series, typically associated with registrations issued between the mid-1950s and early 1960s. This particular registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2018. It sold for £1,800 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £2,333.

The short, four-digit format of 6 UXO holds significant appeal for collectors and those seeking a concise registration. Dateless plates generally hold a strong position in the market, and shorter combinations often attract considerable interest. The initials UXO represent a niche area of demand within the wider initials market.

With its number-first, letters-last arrangement, 6 UXO presents a simple and memorable appearance. The single number at the front, a low digit, contributes to its distinctiveness. This style of registration, with its clear structure and absence of a year identifier, has the timeless look associated with dateless plates.
