6 XXR private number plate

6 XXR presents a concise four-character dateless registration. The format of one number followed by three letters is a recognised style, with a straightforward one number followed by three letters layout. As a dateless mark, it possesses the clean look associated with registrations from earlier eras.

The number 6 is a low number, which typically holds stronger appeal in the market hierarchy for dateless registrations because fewer digits create a shorter, cleaner registration. The three letters XXR offer potential for representing personal initials. While XXR is categorised as niche/low-demand, dateless registrations with initials are a fundamental category for many buyers.

Released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2017, 6 XXR has the timeless look associated with dateless registrations. It sold for £3,100 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £4,018. This style of registration is often sought after by those wishing for a personal mark that does not display a year identifier. The dateless status offers flexibility in its assignment.
