67 EC private number plate

67 EC is a four-character dateless registration. Its short format, with two numbers followed by two letters, offers a clean and easily readable appearance. Dateless plates possess a timeless quality, not showing a year identifier, and are often favoured for their classic look.

The "EC" initials offer a decent level of recognition, suggesting a potentially broader audience for this registration compared to more niche initials. The number 67 is a lower number within its band, which typically appeals to collectors.

As a dateless registration, 67 EC belongs to an era that predates the current system of age-identifying letters and numbers. The historic "EC" area code is associated with Preston (Westmorland / Kendal) in North West England, indicating its origins within the UK's early vehicle registration system.

Released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2008, this registration represents a desirable format. It sold for £2,600 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £3,284. The combination of a short, dateless appearance and recognisable initials makes 67 EC a compelling option for those seeking a distinctive registration.
