69 SS private number plate

69 SS is a dateless registration featuring two numbers followed by two letters. The short, four-character format contributes to its clean, distinctive appearance. This layout has the timeless look associated with dateless registrations, offering a compact and highly memorable registration.

The SS initials are among the most popular, suggesting a broad potential audience. The repetition of the letters SS adds a strong visual symmetry and memorability, which is often favoured by collectors and those seeking a distinctive personal mark. This combination of a desirable initial set and repeating letters creates significant appeal.

The number 69, while not a single digit, is a lower number within the double-digit band. Numbers of this nature, especially when paired with strong initials and a short format, are typically well-received in the market. The registration 69 SS was first released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2004. It sold for £9,600 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £12,126.
