7 LJG private number plate

7 LJG is a four-character dateless registration, presented in a number-letter format. Its short, standalone number makes it a distinct option for buyers seeking a clean and memorable registration. Privately held number plates are a significant way to personalise a vehicle, and this format has consistently appealed to the UK market.

The registration combines the number 7 with the initials LJG. Initial-based registrations are a popular choice, with a DVLA survey in 2019 indicating that a personal connection, such as initials or a name, was the leading motivation for 69% of buyers. The initials LJG are considered to have mid-market appeal, suggesting a broad potential audience.

Dateless registrations, such as 7 LJG, do not display a year identifier and have the timeless look associated with dateless registrations. Early, short dateless plates pairing one or two letters with a single number are noted for their desirability. This particular format, with a single digit followed by three letters, offers a concise and appealing presentation.

7 LJG was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2019. It sold for £6,400 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £8,294.
