720 V private number plate

720 V is a dateless UK private registration. It has a short, four-character format of three numbers followed by one letter. This layout, 720 V, is concise and easy to recall.

The registration carries strong appeal for owners of McLaren vehicles. Specifically, the number 720 directly mirrors the designation of the highly regarded McLaren 720S, as well as the McLaren 750S and 765LT models. This connection is likely to interest enthusiasts and owners of these particular supercars, offering a personalised touch that aligns with their automotive passion.

As a dateless registration, 720 V does not display a year identifier, lending it the clean, timeless look associated with earlier UK plates. Such registrations are often sought after for their classic appearance and their ability to offer a more personal and distinct identity compared to current-style plates.

The number 720 within the registration is a three-digit number. Within dateless plates, fewer digits tend to create shorter, more visually appealing registrations.

This registration was first released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2016. It sold for £2,500 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £3,240.
