77 RE private number plate

The 77 RE registration presents a compelling combination of a short, memorable format and distinctive initials. Its four-character length and the two-by-two arrangement of two numbers followed by two letters offer a clean and direct profile that is highly sought after. The presence of identical digits in the number sequence, '77', contributes to its symmetry and makes it stand out.

As a dateless registration, '77 RE' possesses the timeless appeal associated with early UK plates, free from any year identifier. This style is often favoured by collectors for its historical character and straightforward presentation. The 'RE' initials offer broad potential for personal use, whether representing a given name, surname, or a significant word or phrase, and are considered to have decent popularity, suggesting a wider potential audience. The plate was first brought to the open market via a DVLA auction in 2015. It sold for £4,600 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £5,962.
