8 ERJ private number plate

8 ERJ is a four-character dateless private registration. Its short format and number-letter layout contribute to a clean, easily recognisable registration.

As a dateless plate, 8 ERJ does not show a year identifier, providing the timeless look associated with earlier registration issues. The format of one number followed by three letters is historically recognised for its desirability, with extremely short representations such as this being particularly sought after. The number 8 is a low, single-digit number, which generally carries stronger appeal and contributes to a more streamlined registration.

The initials ERJ are considered to have decent popularity, suggesting a broad potential buyer pool for this plate. This type of registration, with prominent initials, is frequently chosen for its personal connection, aligning with the leading reason motorists cite for purchasing a private plate.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2015. It sold for £1,200 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £1,555.
