Dateless plates with a low number at the start, such as this one with the number 8, are typically sought after. Coupled with the short, four-character format, 8 JWH offers a compact and memorable registration. The initials JWH are considered to have strong appeal, suggesting a broad potential buyer pool.

The early era from which the format originates adds to its collector interest and historical association. Registrations from this period are distinct from current style plates, not displaying a year identifier. The format of one number followed by three letters (one number followed by three letters) is a classic and desirable layout.
