8 KEL private number plate

8 KEL is a four-character private registration with a numbers-first, dateless format. This style of registration, with one number followed by three letters, has a clean and memorable appearance. The number 8, being a single digit, contributes to a shorter registration, which tends to increase its appeal.

The initials KEL have mid-market popularity, suggesting a broad potential buyer pool. This makes 8 KEL a versatile choice for individuals with those initials, potentially fitting a wide range of personal or business needs. The dateless nature of the registration means it does not show a year identifier, offering a timeless look.

In terms of market appeal, short four-character registrations are highly desirable. The combination of a low single-digit number and three letters offers a strong aesthetic. Such formats are often sought after by collectors and individuals looking for distinct personal registrations.

8 KEL was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2021. It sold for £12,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £15,408.
