8 KPM private number plate

8 KPM presents a clean, four-character dateless registration. The format of one number followed by three letters provides a concise and easily memorable registration.

The number 8 at the start contributes to its appeal as a low number, a characteristic generally favoured by collectors. The initials KPM are of decent popularity, suggesting a broader potential audience. Short, dateless registrations like this are often sought after for their timeless look, not showing a year identifier. The format is typical of dateless plates from the era, roughly between 1953 and 1963, and their scarcity has historically contributed to their desirability.

This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2009. It sold for £1,900 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £2,400.
