About private number plate 8 NET
The registration 8 NET is a dateless plate with a format of one number followed by three letters. This layout is generally considered highly desirable, offering a clean and often abbreviated reading. Given its brevity, with just four characters, 8 NET presents a visually appealing and memorable registration.
As a dateless plate, 8 NET does not show a year identifier, contributing to its timeless appearance on a vehicle. The number 8 is positioned at the beginning, a format that frequently interests collectors seeking lower numbers. The NET initials represent a mid-market popularity, suggesting a broad potential audience for private registrations.
This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2016. It sold for £2,800 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £3,629.
Plate Circle brings together number plate history, value context, for sale listings, spotted records and verified sold-price history where available.
