About private number plate 8 OUX
8 OUX represents a four-character dateless registration, presented in a desirable one-number followed by three-letter format. As a dateless plate, it does not show a year identifier and has the clean look associated with dateless registrations.
The number 8 leads the registration, contributing to its short and memorable character count. Dateless plates from this era, particularly those with numbers featured first, were issued in limited quantities and carry a strong collector appeal. The group of initials OUX follows the number, potentially appealing to individuals whose names or brands align with these letters.
The registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2011. It sold for £1,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £1,263.
Plate Circle brings together number plate history, value context, for sale listings, spotted records and verified sold-price history where available.
