8 RWS private number plate

The 8 RWS registration offers a concise, four-character dateless format with the number 8 preceding the letters RWS. Dateless registrations are highly regarded for their clean appearance, as they do not display a year identifier, lending them a timeless appeal. The inclusion of a single digit number, particularly as low as 8, is a notable feature, generally contributing to stronger visual impact and collector interest compared to plates with higher numbers or multiple digits.

This registration is presented in a number-letter layout, a format often associated with the earlier periods of UK vehicle registration. The "one number followed by three letters" structure is a popular choice, offering a straightforward and memorable combination. The initials RWS are considered to have strong appeal, suggesting a potentially broad audience of buyers looking for personal recognition.

The plate was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2018. It sold for £2,900 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £3,758.
