About private number plate 8 VUX
8 VUX is a four-character dateless registration. The format is a single number followed by three letters, presenting a short and clean layout. As a dateless registration, it does not show a year identifier and has the timeless look associated with dateless registrations, a style that first appeared from around 1953 to 1963.
The number 8 is a low number, generally carrying stronger appeal than higher numbers. Coupled with the three-letter sequence VUX, this registration offers a distinct initials reading. The 'VUX' initials are considered niche or low demand, meaning they represent a rarer choice for initials-based plates, appealing to a more specific audience.
This registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2017. It sold for £1,400 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £1,814.
