9 MND private number plate

9 MND is a four-character dateless registration with a single digit followed by three letters. The format, one number followed by three letters, is clean and concise, making it an attractive option for personal initial assignments. The number 9, being one of the single-digit low numbers, typically holds significant appeal, while the initials MND suggest a broad range of potential personal connections for owners. Dateless registrations, such as this one, do not show a year identifier, giving them a timeless aesthetic that is highly favoured by collectors.

This specific registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2023. It sold for £5,700 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £7,319. While its format is associated with registrations from the mid-1950s to early 1960s, this particular example’s origin is much more recent. This type of dateless plate, with its short, uncluttered appearance, often interests buyers seeking a significant personal identifier. The initials MND are considered to have decent popularity, suggesting they may appeal to a wider audience within the UK.
