9 WXH private number plate

9 WXH is a four-character dateless registration with a number-letter format. It carries the clean look associated with dateless registrations, offering a short and straightforward presentation. As a dateless plate, it does not show a year identifier. The registration first entered circulation through a DVLA auction in 2015. It sold for £800 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £1,037.

The inclusion of a single digit at the beginning of the registration, in this case the number 9, generally lends it stronger appeal. Shorter registrations such as this are typically more sought after, thanks to their cleaner appearance. The plate format is typically followed by a block of letters, and in this instance, WXH represents a set of initials. While these initials, WXH, are considered to have niche demand, the overall desirability of the registration is enhanced by its short, dateless format and the low number at the start.
