90 DX private number plate

90 DX is a compact, four-character dateless registration. Its short format, with two numbers followed by two letters, provides a clean and desirable aesthetic, often preferred by collectors and those seeking a distinctive mark. The number 90 is positioned at the start of the registration, followed by the initials DX, appealing to buyers looking for a unique combination of numeric value and personal or brand significance.

The DX initials suggest a potential for personalised appeal, catering to individuals or businesses with those initials. This type of registration format, characterised by its absence of a year identifier, offers a timeless look. Such dateless registrations, particularly those with fewer characters, are a significant category within the private number plate market.

This specific registration, 90 DX, was first released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2025. It sold for £9,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £11,556.
