AAM 11N private number plate

AAM 11N is a six character suffix style registration. From the suffix era, the format was issued between August 1974 and July 1975, though this specific registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2019. It sold for £15,000 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £19,440. It features the initials AAM paired with the numbers 11 and the letter N.

The presence of a matched pair of identical digits, 11, lends a certain visual symmetry to AAM 11N. This repetition can enhance memorability and contribute to collector appeal, as seen in various behavioural studies that note a preference for such patterns. This aspect might particularly interest buyers who appreciate distinct number plate designs.

The initial three letters, AAM, are considered to have strong popularity, suggesting a broad potential audience for this registration. Combined with its suffix era format, AAM 11N offers a clean and distinctive appearance.

For motoring enthusiasts, the letters AAM may also suggest a connection to Aston Martin, a premium manufacturer. While not a direct model code, the initials could resonate with owners or admirers of the marque, contributing to its appeal within the automotive community.

This registration was first released to the open market in 2019 via a DVLA auction.
