AAR 6V private number plate

AAR 6V is a five-character suffix-style UK private registration. This format, introduced from August 1979, uses a recognisable letter-number-letter layout. The number 6 appears in the fourth position, followed by the letter V.

The registration benefits from a low number value, with just the single digit 6. While a number 1 plate is generally the most sought after, lower digits like 6 are typically considered more desirable than higher numbers within the suffix series. The layout of three letters followed by two characters provides a tidy and clear appearance.

The initials AAR are of decent popularity, suggesting a broad potential audience for this registration. Combined with the individual initial V, it may appeal to individuals with these initials.

This specific registration was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2025. It sold for £10,240 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £13,148.
