AGZ 8 private number plate

The registration AGZ 8 presents an attractive four-character dateless format, combining three letters with a single digit. This shorter layout contributes to a clean and memorable presentation. The initials AGZ could appeal to individuals or businesses with these as their initials. The number 8, being a standalone low digit, is generally more sought after than higher or multi-digit numbers, creating a strong visual impact. The format of AGZ 8 also has a motoring connection, as it directly mirrors codes used in BMW M model designations such as the BMW Z3 M, Z4 M, and Z8, potentially interesting owners or enthusiasts of these vehicles.

This plate was first offered to the open market via a DVLA auction in November 2019. It sold for £2,300 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £2,981. The format, with three letters preceding a number, is characteristic of dateless registrations, giving it a timeless aesthetic. AGZ 8 originates from Belfast and was issued under the Northern Irish registration system.
