AMZ 2 private number plate

AMZ 2 is a compact dateless registration with a clear format of three letters followed by one number. Its strong appeal centres on its short, four-character length, which is often favoured for its clean and memorable presentation. The inclusion of the number 2 as a low-value digit also contributes to its desirability, as lower numbers within dateless registrations are generally considered more sought after.

The initials AMZ offer a personalised angle, potentially appealing to individuals with those initials. While the initials are considered niche in terms of demand, their combination with a short, dateless format and a low-priority number creates a distinctive registration. This type of plate is often sought after by those looking for a straightforward and impactful personal identifier, aligning with the strong preference for personal names or initials expressed by motorists.

AMZ 2 was released to the open market via DVLA auction in 2024. It sold for £12,110 (hammer price). With auction fees, the estimated total paid by the buyer was £15,549.
