B6 SXG private number plate

B6 SXG is a five-character prefix registration. The prefix era began in August 1983 and this particular format, with one letter followed by a number, then three letters, was issued between August 1984 and July 1985. The format is one letter, one number followed by three letters, with the number 6 positioned as the second character.

This registration includes the number 6, which typically represents a lower value within the single-digit band. The letters SXG form the initials set, which are considered niche in terms of demand, suggesting a more specific audience.

The prefix scheme, which replaced earlier registration systems, offers a clean dateless appearance without a year identifier. This format provides a concise five-character length, which is often favoured for its streamlined look.
